Every Tuesday morning at 10am, Ava and I travel to storytime at the church building. We have been doing this since she was 3 weeks old and have only missed a couple of times due to sickness. I know that she cannot understand exactly what is going on, but she loves being around all the other children and babies. Occasionally, she will yell out while the teacher is reading a book. This always makes everyone giggle!
Today was not my turn to teach, so I got to sit with Ava and take pictures of everything that happened. Mrs. Cindy was the teacher today and she had the neatest little lesson planned for the kiddos! She read the story of "Little Red Riding Hood" to all the children and used little masks as props. As each character said something in the story, she would trade out the mask. The kids sat so quietly and listened. They LOVED it!
The craft today was a mask of Cinderella and the Prince. Each girl got a Cinderella mask to color. And every boy got a mask of the Prince to color. After everyone finished coloring, they were asked to come have a seat on the floor. Mrs. Cindy then read the story of Cinderella while all the kids used their own masks during the story. It was a fun lesson! (Then Mrs. Cindy surprised us all with cinnamon rolls!!)
Here are some pictures of storytime:
Mrs. Cindy leads all the kids in songs and silliness!
Luke lays down on the floor to act out "The Lion Sleeps Tonight."

Sawyer and Canyon cheese for the camera!
All the kiddos acting out Cinderella with masks
Lily Grace did a great job trading out masks for all the parts!
Cooper got distracted halfway through and decided to make small talk with Luke instead!! :) It was too cute!!
Several of the moms tried to get a shot of all the kids together. This was the best I could do. Ava was squirming and halfway flipped over and the other kids were getting restless. It was time for some cinnamon rolls!! :)
