About Me

I guess since you have clicked on the link "About Me," you would expect to find some information that tells you a little more than what you may have learned from scrolling through my blog. I will try not to disappoint :)

I was born in Texas, where I spent the majority of my life. I met my husband in 2003, the year after I graduated from high school. However, I DID NOT meet him in college :) I went to college. I did well in college. I maintained a 3.67 GPA in college, but I did not meet him there. Nope. I actually met him at church. By the way, that is the absolute BEST place to meet your future spouse. I walked into the Westhill church of Christ one evening as a visitor and there he was. 10 years older than me and searching for a girl :) As you can imagine, I was new blood so he high tailed it down the aisle to introduce himself. I actually remember what I was wearing: a black and white chevron halter dress with a black cardigan (for modesty's sake, plus I am a nerd and REALLY like cardigans) True story. We tried to convince ourselves that we were just friends, but the rest is history.

A year and a half later we got married in the building where we met. It was a big wedding complete with an oversized tulle ball gown, a cake in the shape of a castle, bounce houses for children (yep, bounce houses) and a sweet song written by my husband (in case you don't know him, his name is Jeremy) There was a lot of fanfare, but we wouldn't have it any other way.

Two years later, Jeremy took a job in Alabama as a Family Minister. We have been living here for almost 6 years and are still adjusting. If you have ever moved to a different region of the country, you know what I mean.

In December 2010, we welcomed Ava Catherine Pate into our family. She has made our lives so much brighter! She is a precious little soul and we cherish every day that we have with her.

In May 2012, we welcomed Greta Elizabeth Pate into the mix. We love her so much and cannot imagine what our lives would be like without her.

I can honestly say that my heart has grown because of my two girls. They are my sunshines!

I hope you have learned a thing or two about me. If not, scroll through my blog and you will learn what makes me tick :)
