This past weekend, Roy and Linda Jo came to town for a visit. My baby shower was last Sunday, so Linda Jo was able to be here for it. We had a fun time hanging out at the house and eating at The Front Porch on Sunday, after worship. Nana and Poppy brought Ava a little present! She had fun opening it up and has played with it ever since!
WooHoo! A shopping cart!! It came complete with plastic groceries and a ball! Ava has had a blast pushing it around our house and crashing it into our walls! She loves to hold up the groceries and listen while we say the name. I think her favorite word to try and pronounce is "bananas." It sounds something like, "yayayas." She knows how to mark the syllable, but just doesn't get the sounds quite right. It is pretty cute to listen to her!
Shortly after she opened her gift, she went outside for a playdate with Poppy! She really took to him on this visit and spent most of the time trying to play with him!
It was pretty sweet to watch Ava pick flowers for Nana! She had a such a blast getting to know them and play with them! We can't wait until our next visit with Nana and Poppy!
