I saw this movie in theaters not too long ago and wanted to read the book. My friend Teresa Hendrix lent it to me. I would highly recommend this book. It made me angry. It made me sad. It made me happy. It made me laugh. You will probably experience the same range of emotions that I had if you read this book. It is the story of several black maids living in Jackson, Mississippi, in the 1960's, and the white girl who was willing to write it all down. This is a must!
