Since we were in NYC for the 4th of July, we were able to see the fireworks show on the Hudson. It was amazing!! We took the subway to Manhattan and walked through the city until we got to a good viewing point. I am not gonna lie. I bawled as I walked down the street toward the fireworks. New York City is amazing in and of itself, but being there for a holiday is such a neat experience.
After the fireworks show, our group visited 42nd street and Times Square. NYC truly is the city that never sleeps! At midnight, it was still shoulder to shoulder traffic in Times Square. Some of us in the group linked arms so we would not get lost alone. It was crazy!
