Christmas In Texas

Yes, it is the end of January and I am just now posting about our Christmas! Ha! We went to Texas for Christmas this year. We stayed with my parents and got to meet Baby Kate! (Finally!) It was a HUGE Christmas celebration! We now realize that we need to limit Ava's presents. I am not kidding when I say that she had about 50 presents to open. Yes, most of it was small, but she lost interest very quickly. Next year we will probably limit her gifts to about 5 really good things. When Ava gets older and reads this, she will probably regret not taking more interest in her gifts!

Sweet Baby Kate:

Ava and Aunt Pokey got along really well:

Greta was content to play by herself most of the time:

Since my side of the family could not come to Alabama for Ava's birthday celebration, we had a small Texas version at my parents house:

After the birthday celebration was over, we got down to business:

Before putting the girls to bed for the evening, we put reindeer food in the front yard and laid out cookies and milk for Santa Claus. Since Santa was diagnosed with diabetes, we laid out 100 Calorie snacks:

On Christmas morning, Ava was surprised with her new Disney Princess kitchen! She LOVES it and plays with it several times a day. She makes Mommy and Daddy coffee and shrimp :) I think this was a very good purchase:

On the way home it snowed and iced over:

Our girls received lots of Texas A&M memorabilia! My great aunt and great uncle are both retired from  Texas A&M University, so we have close ties:
