Tuesday Night Devotional

Every Tuesday night, there is a youth devotional at our church building. I have started taking the girls because A. I want to get out of the house. B. I want them to spend some time around their daddy. And C. I want them to embrace Jeremy's job instead of resenting it because he is gone a lot. Even though he is not able to really do a whole lot with him while we are there, they still get to be around their daddy :) Plus, they are building really good relationships with the teens at our church.

Right now, Ava loves Clay and Austin (two boys in the youth group) Ava would not say a prayer for her food tonight until Clay walked over and held her hand :) She also loves Austin because he talks to her and plays with her. But, she also loves Katelyn, Courtney, Isaac, Shalon, and Heather as well. They are all so sweet to her and treat her like a little sister :) Greta loves Shalon. Shalon treats Greta like a daughter and carries her around with her everywhere. Greta will learn to love everyone, but right now she is still a baby baby and prefers to be with Mommy :)

I appreciate the teens at church so much because they don't act like it is a chore to be nice to my children. They seem to genuinely love them and care for them. We could not ask for more :)

Here are some pictures of tonight's devotional:

I forgot to bring Greta's toys tonight, so we had to settle for this pail. Luckily, it did the trick! Greta played with it almost all evening!

Shalon and Austin kept her occupied by beating on the pail like a drum. She was intrigued!

Ava is still a Daddy's girl. You can always find her wherever her daddy is.

We closed off the door to the ping pong room. Whenever the older kids are playing in there, we don't allow Ava to go in. She is so funny because she stands at the glass and just stares longingly. It is pretty pitiful!

We had such a great time getting out of the house tonight! We always enjoy getting to spend time with the teens on Tuesday evenings.
